But more seriously, in London too, I often see items of clothing and odd shoes lying about. In some cases, these may have fallen out of people’s bags or out of cars but I think in many instances it is the result of people who go through rubbish looking for useful items. These people usually empty the bags and bins and don’t put the stuff back. Anything they don’t want is left lying about and gets kicked around and perhaps played with by kids, ending up in odd places.
