First day in Delhi
I guess I am going to try and choose a few photos, among those that are more meaningful for me as a way of remembering this great trip.
That first day in Delhi was mostly dedicated to visiting places like the memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi

Outside the Mosque, we left our shoes next to these that didn’t belong to our group

Mostly, I felt that I was looking at everything from a distance, at zoom length, or through the window of our coach. I was not sure what I could or could not photograph, yet

Here women were praying at Jama Masjid Mosque
But already, I was impressed by the different shapes and colours that caught our eyes

a mixture of colour, tradition and modernity

what are the orange fruits there at Gandhi’s memorial?
the second photo will not load for me…
love the colors and contrasts – those fabrics are wonderful!
Yes, always such wonderful colours and fabrics!
Not fruit but orange flowers, they are everywhere in India. Wondering if they are not what we call “rose d’Inde”
With most of the photos I have seen of India, I am impressed by the saturation and variety of colors!
Yes, so colourful. A pleasure for the eye. And people are ever so nice!
It looks as though everywhere you turn your lens to you are a washed with colour. What stunning photos. Love the fabric of the two women in the last photo and how they bodies and that of the little girl show both good posture and a natural swirling motion.
Yes, fantastic postures, even in old ladies! Also comes from the way they sit and/or crouch on the ground
ah, now I am seeing the shoes!
Lilalia, that’s it – the wonderful posture! No slumping. Also it hit me last night – these women are not carrying PURSES, or anything resembling them. YES!
