That day, they made us get up in the middle of the night to fly to Udaipur. Wake up call at three o’clock, to the airport, and I was so tired I don’t even remember getting there! ![]()
We started off by visiting a Hindu temple. As always outside temples, there are people selling all sorts of offerings, from food to flowers

I liked that lady with her cell-phone, a lovely mixture of modernity and tradition
Then, we visited City Palace,

with its ornate windows
We looked at the view from the top of the Palace,

Later on, we sailed to an island on the lake, and in the afternoon, we visited the lovely garden dedicated to the ladies in waiting of the princess, Saheliyon-ki-Bari
In the evening, we went to the colourful bazaar

I love all the bright colors of India. I doubt if i’ll ever get to go there, so I’m thrilled to be seeing India through your camera’s lens, Claude.
I’m happy to be able to share with you Evelyn!
I feel the same way as Evelyn does. Trilled to see India through your eyes – absolutely amazing!!!
I must say I found it pretty amazing too.
Just catching up with your blog….what incredible colors! What a treat to be able to see India as you do.
Yes, yes, yes, the colours are overwhelming!
You capture the country so well through your lens. I love the ornate windows and colorful material.
I went to your other photos and enjoyed them all. It’s like visiting a country without the pain of getting up at 3 am.
I hadn’t realised you would be able to post photos already. They are wonderful. You certainly haven’t lost your ‘eye’ for a good picture. So glad you are having a wonderful time and that it is not too hot for you.
I have been back since last Saturday with over 5,000 photos, a few of which I’m posting little by little.
I, too, am impressed with the striking color variety. Your photos are wonderful!
