A visit to Musée Guimet

January 17, 2010

I have a hard time believing that for the some 60 years I have been living in Paris, I had never, not even once, been to Musée Guimet

I went yesterday for the first time with my friend Cat75. We feasted our eyes on an exhibition of sacred objects from Bhoutan and had a great time with our cameras on the first floor of the museum, in rooms dedicated to Cambodia and Thailand art.

Big cities with lots of museums and history can be that way. I know my mother said the same thing about Vienna.

You turn the corner and find another one, it’s wonderful.

What a wonderful adventure!!!!!! I envy you this!!!

The thing I miss most about living in a larger city is access to great art although our little art museum gets some really excellent exhibits!
