I was quite a lazy blogger last year, and as I never make New Year’s resolutions that I know I won’t stick to, I can’t promise I’ll be better in 2012.
The older, the lazier, I guess.
But I wish you all a happy New Year!
See this photo on a black background

Happy New Year to you too.
I approve of not falling into the trap of making resolutions. If you are motivated to do something, you will do it without the nonsense of making a resolution but if you are not motivated, then you will not do it and resolutions don’t help. (Ask all those wannbe slimmers and givers-up of cigarettes!)
The picture reminds me pleasantly of our last visit to Paris though, happily, the weather for our visit to the Louvre was better than it is in the photo.
And Happy 2012 to you, Claude. Gorgeous photo and seeing the pyramid in this context, so small, it makes me wonder what all the controversy was when it was first installed.
Well, Ronni, the little pyramid you see is not THE pyramid, it is only one of the baby pyramids that surround the large one. A view of the large one here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/bip/6627352273/in/photostream
That’s a fantastic photo! Terrific geometric composition and I love what the lights do on the wet pavement.
It’s not frequency but quality that counts! May you have another lovely lazy year…
Not the pavement, but one of the fountains that are near the pyramid
Absolutely gorgeous!!!!
What a wonderful picture, Claude! The lines and angles are excellent.
As for being lazy, how long is your writing streak going now?
Not badly! You’ve got a point. 131 days today. Thanks for the positive view
How pleasant to find that familiar company, that familiar tone of voice at the start of the year! Happy New Year, Claude, from New England.
I intend to sit in front of a plate of oysters by week’s end. I will toast you.
I’ll raise my glass too, Donald. Had oysters last Sunday
I found your blog, not sure I remember where, but I enjoy reading and looking at your photographs.
Happy New Year!
A Happy New Year to you Claude… and, who needs resolutions anyway.
I’ve a suggestion for a delightful kick-off for the new year, the movie The Artist. Have you seen it? It’s a French film, and you’ll be surprised how unique it is. Just posted my review if you’re interested.
Lovely photo. I so enjoy the Louvre and may buy a yearly pass, but not sure yet. Do not make resolutions either. I have enough to worry about !!
